Companies is an optional feature that enables administrators to configure an additional level of grouping users. You can group departments, using companies to create a relationship between the department and project.
Departments may or may not belong to a Company.
You can group users by a company, and then by departments and user types.
Workflow enables you to use public and internal comments and attachments, which are only visible to people who belong to the same Company. See Add Comment Action Type and Attach File Action Type for more information.
To access the Companies workspace, go to Setup > Users > Companies.
