Workflow provides several types of custom fields that you can use to store information that supports different elements of your business processes. You can use custom fields in workflow actions, forms, containers and table controllers, as well as with users, projects, contacts, and accounts.
You can associate custom fields with one or more workflows, and you can assign multiple custom fields to the same workflow. You can also configure actions with custom fields to help manage workflows, then later use that action to view, delete, or modify custom fields.
Standard fields are default custom fields that are automatically available in all workflows. Standard fields are denoted with a star symbol in the list of existing custom fields, and the system ID for standard fields is prefixed with sf. For example, the system ID for the Priority field is sf_Priority.

To access the Custom Fields workspace, go to Setup > Fields & Forms > Custom Fields.
Click the Actions button of the field you want to do any of the following:
Edit: Edit the object properties.
Preview: Preview the custom field.
Show Where Used: See where the form or custom field is used.
